Hi, I have a question re roses.
We live in Christchurch, our house will be demolished post earthquakes. We have 3 standard iceberg roses planted only 2 years ago on the NE border of the house, they were just starting to look ‘healthy’, but have not had the care they should have over the summer. We would like to move and protect them until rebuilding is done, which may be several months. Would love some feedback on what to do. Thanks.
Hi there, Try putting them into large plastic pots – reduce the canopy and prune the large roots with sterilized Secateurs and stake them. They should be fine. The longer you can hold off the better.

Hi – I am an architect and have clients with 4 large ponga trees that need to come out to make room for a house extension. Clients say they will just cut them down – but I thought maybe a landscaper may like them for relocation (maybe even buy them?) as they are rather fine specimens. Who should I ask?
