Crisp, clean lines in the landscape

Defining spaces is an essential aspect to landscape design projects writes Landscapedesign.co.nz editor Tim Durrant.

For designers, finding great solutions stimulates the creative juices.  Defining spaces is often a challenge and it’s always great to see what designers use to achieve this.

There are two new products to the market in New Zealand that make defining areas simple.

Herne Bay project

While there have been many ways to form garden edges, Terrascape has a solution that is easy to install, is elegant and durable. The specialist landscape supplies company has launched Rite Edge and Stable Edge, two products being used in projects at both ends of the country.

In a recent Herne Bay landscaping project, the product was used to separate and define different materials such as shell, bark and garden beds. The product is also being used in rose gardens and in the Christchuch memorial gardens. Take a look at the gallery below illustrating the early use of these products in New Zealand.
